Dignity first

About Us
Since 2010, Northam Victim Empowerment has provided free, confidential support to people affected by violence and crime in Northam and the surrounding communities.
Northam Victim Empowerment grew out of a simple, hard reality: people in and around Northam were experiencing serious harm with nowhere close by to turn. Services existed, but they were far away, unfamiliar and often intimidating.
We started by making sure that someone local would answer — and then built the rest around that: counselling, court support, safety planning and referrals, and prevention work with schools, men's groups, traditional leadership and SAPS.
Today our team works from an office in No. 06 Venter Street and out in the community, in partnership with government departments, funders and civil society organisations across the district.

Every person who walks through our door decides what happens next. We inform, we support, we never pressure.
What is shared with us stays with us. We publish no names, images or stories without informed consent.
Free services, no appointment needed, in the languages our community speaks.
Registered, compliant and transparent about how funds are used and what results we achieve.
